The EUCHEM 2008 Conference on Molten Salts and Ionic Liquids will be held at the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel (4 star hotel) housed in an uniquely preserved grain-drying pine wood warehouse from 1787 situated right at the waterfront in the heart of Copenhagen.
The modern meeting rooms of the hotel face directly to the water front with a view of the inner part of Copenhagen Habour.
Conference Site
The Copenhagen Admiral Hotel is closest neighbor to Amalienborg Castle and the Amalienborg Gardens (the Queen's Palace), with the Guard changing at noon when the Queen is in residence.

Additionally, Nyhavn - the best restaurant and entertainment district in city - is just around the corner.
Located opposite the habour is the new build Opera House and Strøget - the main pedestrian and shopping street. Both are located only a short walk away from several of the famous tourist attractions of Copenhagen like, e.g. The Little Mermaid, The Parliament - Christiansborg Palace, Tivoli Gardens, and The Town Hall Square.
